ISS Expectations
In School Suspension or ISS
- ISS is where your student will come when their actions make it necessary for them to learn somewhere other than their regular classroom.
- All students will be served all meals in ISS unless they decline service or bring their own meal.
- All of their Medical needs will be met since our qualified nursing staff will have notification of their arrival in ISS.
- Their individual teachers will provide assignments to each of their students. Books, computers and other resources are available to students as necessary.
- Students will access their usual mode of transportation home.
- Cell phone use by students is NOT permitted in ISS. Cell phones will be turned OFF and placed on the shelf.
- Students MAY have water at any time. Restroom breaks are permissible but should not be abused.
- Deliberate damage to school property is unacceptable.
- Participation in extracurricular events is not permitted during a student's term in ISS.
- Our school day is the same as your student's regular day unless otherwise noted by their campus principal.
- GCISD Standards of Conduct and Dress Code do apply in ISS.
